overview of zuper desktop geograpical assignment of work orders work orders ("jobs" in zuper) are automatically assigned to a team based on where the team is located and which property is requesting maintenance for example, a work order from a property on the east side of baltimore can only be assigned to technicians on the east side of baltiore maintenance team work orders are automatically assigned to geographic teams coordinators must select a technician from that team to assign the work order based on the skillset needed to complete the work and the skillsets available on that team technician teams all technicians have been assigned to teams within their markets these teams have been selected by maintenance leaders in each market and reflect a balanaced, capable skillset able to handle most of the work orders arising in their team's areas skill based assignment of work orders work orders are tagged with skills (electrical, plumbing, etc ) needed for repair from riparian's database these tagged skills are automatically added to work orders in zuper likewise, technicians in zuper are assigned skillsets this allows us to assign work orders to the best fitting technicians based on skillsets for optimal completion of the work skills required to a complete a work order are assigned automatically technicians are assigned skills via zuper coordinators are assigning work orders based on skills needed versus skills available on the technician team main features in zuper the job board the job board is the most plainly laid out view of all work across all markets and statuses users can filter jobs based on what they want to see although the job page is helpful for visualizing the status of all jobs, it can be overwhelming we recommend that coordinators use the calendar board (specifically the dispatch board), to coordinate work orders calmly and effectively the calendar module calendar view the calendar is a visual representation of the job board like the job board, the calendar view can be overwhelming we recommend using the dispatch board for work order scheduling and assignment dispatch board \[main venue for office team] the dispatch board is the the best view for team and resource management from here, coordinators can easily schedule and assign work orders based on technician's skillsets and availability training fo training fo r desktop users dispatching new work orders for maintenance coordinators, the most important "view" in zuper is the dispatch board riparian's database will automatically assign the work order to a team (i e , "baltimore east side", etc ) coordinators are responsible for technician assignment and scheduling via the dispatch board once a work order has been assigned and scheduled from the dispatch board, the responsibilty is now in the hands of the assigned maintenance technician assigning "unassigned" jobs from the dispatch board onto technician's schedules is the most critical junction for our repair and maintenance pipeline this is the moment when we are setting up the right team member to be in the right place at the right time
